We built the resume tool we wished we had.
Resume Sketch started in 2024 with a simple, frustrating problem: good people were being turned down by software before a person ever read their resume. This is how we set out to fix that.
The blank page
Everyone starts the same way: an empty document, a blinking cursor and a deadline.
You know you've done good work. Turning it into short, sharp bullet points is the hard part. So you write something safe, like “hard-working team player”, and hope for the best.
Responsible for stuff…
The silent inbox
Then you apply. And wait.
Most companies first run resumes through an applicant tracking system, or ATS. If the layout confuses it or the right words are missing, your resume quietly drops out. No reply. No reason. Just an inbox full of “application received”.
So we built Resume Sketch
We started with one question: what if you could see your resume the way the software sees it? That became our free ATS check, with a score and a clear list of what to fix.
Then came templates that stay readable to that software, an AI that rewrites your bullets using only your real experience, and an agent that makes the edits for you while you watch.
Sending it, and knowing
A great resume still has to reach a person. Attachments get lost, and old versions keep floating around.
So we added share links: one link that always shows your newest resume and tells you when it's opened. No more guessing whether anyone looked.
What we believe
Honest AI
The AI works only with what you tell it. It never invents jobs, degrees or numbers.
Free to start
Building, all 55 templates and PDF downloads are free. Pay only if you want more AI.
Your data stays yours
We never sell your information. Download, share or delete your resumes any time.
You stay in charge
Every AI edit is shown first. Nothing changes on your resume until you accept it.
Where we're going
Job hunting is still too slow and too lonely. We want Resume Sketch to feel like a friend who's good at this: someone who reads the job post with you, fixes the wording and tells you when the recruiter has looked. We're just getting started, and the next chapter is yours.
